Wanderlust

This gypsy heart, just needs to wander. Wander to undiscovered mountains and cave that guards the mysteries of this world. I will unturn every stone. I will walk every unpaved path. I will dive through the darkest seas, just to discover the secrets that were only meant for me. – Chrissie Pinney

Wanderlust – the insane calling, the desire to be at far off places, travel to unseen lands without any physical or human intervention. Someone has said – let’s wander where the wifi is weak.
All of us seems to have been so busy with our rigmarole life, that we hardly get any time to spend with ourselves  or infact to give our inner soul some tranquillity and peace.

If adventures will not befall a young lady in her village, then she must seek them abroad.

Learning is a strong reason why people love to travel. We want to experience something unfamiliar and leave with new skills or knowledge. Travel is like conquering a fresh territory which feels exhilarating. The thrill starts the minute you land in a new place. Conquering that terrritory could be trying spicy Thai street food or conversing in Madrid with your rusty college spanish. Or it could be a physical experience, like Scuba diving the Great Barrier Reef or hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Pichu. You will feel it all,the adrenalin  rush through your body, the hunger for more adventure. Let’s not travel to tick things off lists or collect half hearted semi treasures to be placed in dusty drawers in empty rooms. Rather we travel to find grounds and roof tops and tiny hidden parks, where we’ll sit and dismiss the passing time, spun in the city’s web till we have surrendered, content to be spent and consumed. The world whispers to me in my sleep,it wants me to tattoo itself upon my skin. My bones were branded as a wanderer. They say no reason to stay,is a good reason to go…..

Travel has the power to let you not only escape but also heal. Seeing the world is more educational than a high school or college class. Each destination has something unique to teach visitors, and immersing themselves in completely different world is in itself an adventure . Travel makes you feel young. It does this by simply putting you in situations that makes you feel like a child again. Magically lost,in a moment of discovery. Beautifully confused .

I say -Don’t get stuck. Move, Travel, Take a class,Take a risk. There’s a season for wilderness and a season for settledness, this is neither. Fill your home with books and travel souvenirs . Once you’ve travelled for the first time, all you want to do is  travel again. They call it a travel bug. Atticus has said- “Open your hearts and find your wild.”

I can’t think of anything that excites a greater sense of childlike wonder, than to be in a country, where you are ignorant of almost everything . Suddenly you are 5 years old again. You can’t read anything. You have only the rudimentary sense of how things work. You can’t even reliably cross a street without endangering your life. Your whole existence becomes a series of interesting guesses. – Bill Bryson

Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow mindedness….. Broad, wholesome , charitable view of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating is one little corner of the earth, all ones lifetime. -Mark Twain.
