R.I.P The Great Barrier Reef!!!! An Ode to The Great Barrier Reef.!! That’s all we are left to say now.
For some of you who don’t know about The Great Barrier Reef- The Great Barrier Reef is the world’s largest coral reef system which can be seen from outer space and is the world’s biggest single structure made by living organisms.
The reef is located in the Coral sea,off the coast in Queensland,Australia. The reef structure is composed of and built by,billions of tiny living organisms called Coralpolyps . Infact it was labelled, as one of the Seven Wonders of the World by CNN . It is one of the Australia’s most remarkable natural gifts, and is blessed with the breathtaking beauty of over 3000 individual reef systems and literally hundreds of picturesque tropical islands. The reef has been attracting the tourists every year because of its natural beauty, and is categorised as one of the most sought holiday destination.
But someone has said, time and tide spares none… The reef has lost more than half of its coral cover since 1985. Environmental pressures on the reef and its ecosystem, has caused climate change accompanied by mass coral bleaching. Things aren’t looking good, and researchers admit this is the worst bleaching event on record for the Great Barrier Reef.
Days are not far, when The Great Barrier Reef will become a chapter in books of history and will only be remembered through books, newspapers, magazines. The worst part is people are still negligent,as to how their acts can impact the nature’s beauty and can cause mass destruction.
Dodo bird,Wild Tasmanian Tiger are just a few examples of the cruel act of mankind. The lesson has taken longer to learn.
Hopefully the loss of such an important natural resource will make people aware that we can never let this happen again.

Unfortunately, unless PAIN is suffered by the individual him or herself, catastrophic events are either “unreal” or “meaningless.” It’s difficult for people to respect this planet; in many cases, they haven’t yet discovered how to respect themselves.
Thank you for sharing the MEANINGFUL post!

And thank you for the motivation..will keep sharing more.
And yes about your comment, you are right man is himself the creator and deatroyer at the same time. Unless and until they don’t realise how the pain feels like, they have the tendency to take everything for granted and exploiting it.
